I just watched one of the repeats on sky with the MG X power thing, and they said they were going to do it again but with the Nitrous version, does anyone know if they did? I'm pretty sure ive seen all the episodes and don't remember it, but was just wondering

IIRC You were supposed to be able to buy upgrades for it from MG which could up the power to something stupid like 1000bhp...

Didn't rover/MG go under shortly after that was aired?
Shame really as the X Power looked awsome and theres only a handful around the country

There was an X Power at Santa Pod when I last went. It had an engine conversion in it, I think it was a Ford Mustang engine or similar. It was a V8 and it caused the gearbox to empty it's contents all over the floor

the original engine was a V8 from a mustang though  though i know they used a few different engines as there were talks about racing them, i believe.
still a shame about the car thougn, they were only originally going to make 350 of them and then break the moulds. Though i agree with clarkson though, the interior is a bit crap for a 75k car

Oh, it might have been the stock engine with a few mods then. Can't quite remember...

Yea, MG made it to rival porsche, tvr etc hence the price tag, but i think it would have flopped anyways, as it certainly didn't do anything special and a tvr is cheaper anyways
