Still not the same engine though is it,
personally id pay more for a car with 60k than one with a new engine done 30k

The Zetec S oil warnig system is awful - If the light comes on you literally have to stop and fill it up there and then; it doesn't give you any breathing space before you're completely empty. Same happened with my missus just after she had it; and they go through oil relatively quickly compared to say an equivalent corsa 1.6; so you can have plenty when you check it one week and very little by the following week.
all in all though they're tidy cars, nippy and nice to drive! I wouldn't be worried about replaced engine on a Zetec-S; it doesn't mean they're a neglected car - normaly just means they've been owned by a female

jas.... id rather replace an engine thats the same as the old one! with less miles!
so if someone offered u an engine the same as urs with low mileage! ud say no???
oh and ur comments are comming from someone that puts a gsi badge on there grill.
when clearly ur car isnt a gsi!
id never put a gsi badge on a car that wasnt a gsi unless i owned one........ which i do.
sucker!!!!
