I expect they'll have a great graduate scheme, good luck

My missus is just applying to a load of these aswell, for business though. Has passed a few telephone interviews and online tests, and has some assessment days to go to in Feb.

Glad Im not going into a graduate scheme, couldnt be arsed with all that hassle!

yeh i can imagine it being shit hot

there are other ways in though. my boss was telling me that if you pass their set tests on certain things, they'll sub-contract you to work for them in a certain area etc. i don't know how much work they send your way but it might be an alternative

This is what depresses me:

The Application Process
Your application goes directly to Stepstone Obvious (our recruitment partner) who look at all applications. If they select you for an initial interview, it will take place over the phone. You’ll then be invited to a first round assessment organised by Obvious and held at different locations across the UK. This assessment includes an interview and an aptitude test for graduates.
Obvious will report back to Microsoft about you and all the other candidates they believe should be seen for final assessment. We’ll then make a firm selection.
The assessment itself is held at our Reading campus and includes competency interviews, group exercises and presentations.

yeah, all graduate schemes seem to be that way.

My missus was at one on Thurs for a retail management scheme thingy. Said it wasnt as bad as she thought and all the people were nice and put you at ease as knew you'd be a little nervous, etc.

I've done assessment days before, but it's usually just an interview and an assessment day, or one or the other, not both, twice

Not what I would call cheap, MS pay £26k outside of London.
