The mothers car is playing up at the minute.
It starts fine then dies within 3-5 seconds, regardless of if you put some throttle on or not.
Anyone had this experience with their SXi?
As it only started this late last night, Im yet to really have a look - but am I thinking along the right lines of:
Air leak
Idle valve
AFM
Any other suggestions appreciated.

Probably Crankshaft sensor, is there a light on?

Yeh, forgot to add Joe that the spanner icon is flashing.
Where is the crank sensor on these engines and is it easy to whip out?

Maybe an immobiliser fault then, does she have another key that you can try? Sounds like immobiliser fault to me, the spanner light usually flashes when your cranking it over.

i had this problem with my corsa c, on some cars there is a faulty multi connector behind the clocks (dash board) got the aa man out and he twatted the dash and it worked fine, but still had it replaced!!!
