I costed up doing a proper turbo conversion on an x16xe once, stopped counting at £4000

Q: allrite mate, i have this conversion, but would like some info to how the turbo fits on the manifoild, if you could help i would be greatfull, ta al

A: The carbon tubular steel turbo exhaust manifold replaces your standard exhaust manifold and bolts directly onto the exhaust port side of your cylinder head (front of the engine as you look at it from the front of the bonnet). The T2 turbocharger then bolts straight onto the T2 flange upon the turbo manifold with four bolts, sealed with a T2 metal turbocharger gasket plate. If the turbocharger doesn't clear your oil filter, then you have to undo the bolts between the turbocharger turbine and compressor housings and rotate the compressor housing to a position that is suitable and re-bolt together. Your exhaust system then mates up to the turbocharger with the help of a custom downpipe - quick and easy job. Hope that helps and gives a little insight. Thanks, Kyle

erm.....

Many people ask whether they need to change their standard engine management setup to an aftermarket unit or have a remap. The truth is that with our kits you can run with standard engine management. Due to the inclusion of our Special AFPR (which does mechanically what a remap does electronically - two fuel pressure setups - one for on-boost phase and other for off-boost phase) - there is no NEED to have a remap or switch management setups.

The turbocharger kit comprises of most of the parts that you need to turn your standard engine into a turbocharged beast with very little effort. It is that simple to fit that you could even do it on your own driveway with a few hand tools and a little experience.

You don't NEED an intercooler though, lots of cars with turbos don't have them.

True, Astra DI don't have them.... Thats why i bought the DTI, Has an intercooler + more power! yeah!

Yeah, the Astra DI doesn't have an intercooler, you're right.
































it doesn't have a turbo either, hence the power difference

Does have a turbo. Just not intercooled,
