I'm for some reason liking my 3 spokes on my car however the tyres on them (185/60's) look a bit.. bulbous, especially the front firestones.

Been pondering about a "euro look" for my car (basically a red 1.6 sport just lowered really styling wise, debadged grille) hence was considering maybe astra gte rims refurbed with 185/55x14's but same thing for my 3 spokes if I was to keep them...

What do people reckon? Worthwhile thing to do? Handling maybe improved due to less sidewall? However how will it affect my speedo?

Thanks

The difference won't be obvious.

The smaller tyre is 1.85cm less in diameter, which won't look any different unless you have them side by side.

The speedo will read 100mph at 96.8 mph, going on the theory that it reads bang on at the moment, which it won't.

bump any more opinions on going for 185/55's instead of 60's? my fronts are nearly dead so time to order

been looking @ some cheapish fulda tyres on mytyres.co.uk they seem to get a really surprisingly good writeup though after doing some research!

been trying get some nice wheels with 195/45's on already, cav gsi or what not but no luck, sxi rims look wank i cant stand em lol... my 3 spokes are retro cool and its a bit different @ least

also the fronts catch the arch lining so even wider may cause problems :-s
