Any tools out there to do this? Used to be one called Nuts and Bolts 98 -- yes i'm an old fart

My Desktop went on fire earlier today so using laptop but compared to my Desktop is slow.. The spec is not all that bad to be fair but by the time i've all my software on here it slowed right down.

AMD Athlon 64 M 3700
1024 RAM
100GB Hard Drive
ATI Radion XPRESS 200M using 128MB od system RAM

Running Windows XP Pro.

Downgrade to Windows NT Workstation 3.51.

www.ccleaner.com

all you will ever need to clean up temporary files and your registry ( 90% of speed issues relate to registry)

TBH i dont rate these software cleanups, if it was me i'd backup everyhting i wanted and then re install

god no. seriously, its an awesome piece of software. and also destroys the temporary files to above NSA standard, if you wish. but unless you have a super fast machine, it can take a while to overwrite 1GB of space 10 times
