the Mantzel I brought off Dave A. Took it to my mechanic friend who kindly fitted it for me. Well chuffed with it.

But then my mechanic told me about this--



He's ahving it back wednesday morning to run some diagnostics on it. But in the mean time anyone have any ideas as to why it may have come on??

dont spend money on having it run on diagnostics get onto www.topbuzz.com and do the paperclip test

how did you figure that out?

as for actually solving the problem, check all the earths as the will have been disturbed hile fitting the mantzel. also check that all sensors are plugged in properly, especially the icv, egr, tps and air temp as all these will have been removed during fitting.

my mantzel makes my EML come on every now and then but has never stayed on constant

longest its ever stayed on for in about 5mins

Yes that's true, it has a flux capacitor though which replaced the EGR valve back in 1996 I believe.

i was lead to believe that the EGR valve as the little silver can-shaped effort on the exhaust manifold and there isnt one in the pics. i know its a X14 or X16 as its got the secondary air pump so has the exhaust manifold been changed?

Nevermind daves cleared it up
