Ermmmm..........a rather *cough* LARGE phone bill has apparently just arrived at my work this morning, there is now an investigation going on to find out whats been going on 
We get several bills from BT for land lines, alarm lines etc. Someone has phoned BT up to find out what this bill is for. The number on the bill isn't our land line number. BT have said that 99% of the calls on it are too 08702 numbers which are normally bank lines, broadband etc...............now I'm rather worried cos I leave the PC running day and night never switch it off, could I be to blame for this bill if it turns out to be the broadband connection

no, broadband is one fee no matter how long its on.

That could actually cause it, would mean massive bills though, probably 1000's

Hmmmm............so if its not that I wonder what the hell it is, cos as I say it's not the landline number. BT can't say what type of line the calls have been made from  They're going to send out an itemised bill

Yes its never switched off But its a Council establishment and as far as I know it cuts off automatically after a certain time because you need to keep logging back on if you leave it for any length of time ?

My company have just brought in new phones so they know who is making what calls and when 
Only good thing is when the comps fluff up so do the phones as they are connected

Yeah as Cosmo said, I'd imagine a company with a computer network would use a fixed pay broadband service so I'd imagine you're safe
