...they took it out for a test drive and the EML came on.

Run a fault diagnostic on it AND it is the oxygen sensor

Luckily, the local Vauxhall have one in stock and it is going to be fitted - because of this petrol fiasco and how long it could take to sort out, they are saying it was damaged on impact.

Unfortunately I lose a whole tank of petrol, they are going to put £10's worth in which I have to pay for

But I get my car back tomorrow

Is it possibly for the oxygen sensor to be damaged on impact? (I have no idea where it is on the engine/car). Only reason I ask this is because I religiously fill up with BP fuel, and was on Saturday 17th/Sunday 18th February, the day before the crash.

Thoughts, opinions, ridicule because of crash all welcome

When you say referred, do you mean is a different name? If so, then it most likely isn't dodgy fuel.

Fair enough - just complete coincidence how right up until impact when the car was running, it was fine, no EML, no sluggish running or lumpy running, then they take it out on a test drive and it happens.

My guess is it has been fixed for a while and they've been driving it to the shops and back on lunch breaks

Was always weary of this when I left my car in the bodyshop, but I'm sure they'd prefer to take something a little faster out.

Yup, can't wait to pick her up tomorrow

Just got to wait for GBK Performance to get in some more slatted, plain grills and will order my Depos so she'll be back to normal soon, hopefully!

Well mine is nearly on 66k, I've never had to do anything to do it in the near 7k miles I've had it.

Touch wood.
