backfiring like a mad thing uder boost,

ok whilst driving off boost, but when its boosting its backfiring,

anyone got any ideas?

have you got any gauges? As said above will be fueling probably. Do you get boost cut?

nope boost fine but backfires like crazy, its in my mates astra,

i asked him if it has an adjustable FPR, but if not whatto look at next?

Mine was overfuelling really badly a week or so after i got it, got it set up on the rolling road again, runs like new now.

id suggest getting some gauges, what power is it running, if your going to do a decent conversion its worth paying that bit extra for decent gauges, so you can see exactly what the engine is doing. I have boost, fuel pressure, air / fuel, water injection pressure. Get him to check no vaccumes to FPR are kinked (This happend to me before)

needs a decent remap!

Bet it sounds cool though, but will be losing a hell of a lot of power!

is it not the distributor? my dads rs was like that no boost was fine soon as the turbo kicked in it poped and backfired like fuck. changed the distributor it was all fine.

Does sound like an electrical thing, dissy leads or plugs some time if your plugs arnt gapped for your boost it blows the spark out on boost
