Got a DVD from a friend with ALL versions on it. Well, i think it installs the extra bits (remote desktop connection etc) depending on the serial you enter.

is it a genuine copy? if not dont bother entering the serial. It will be more of a pain later on.
If you want help getting it up to 'genuine status' (i.e no validations, automatic updates etc) give me a PM

Every vista dvd has all versions on it.
Everybody with this dvd has had it at genuine for months, this doesn't mean it'll stay genuine.

Installing the downloaded copy will give you a 30 day grace period, whereby its FULLY useable.
It only stays that way for 30 days, not months.

The 30 day grace period is fully useable, you can extend that for 4 months, there are other workarounds that give a genuine status atm.
The 30 day grace period is not for you to try it out for 30 days, that is still against the EULA.

Yes, there is a patch available that stops the countdown, which is the one im using.
I still have 30 days remaining despite using for a few weeks now.
