The metal bit inside the Depo headlights which 'cover' the bulb? Are they necessary or do people take them out?
Only reason I ask is that the glass on Depos aren't much different to standard Corsa headlights. And the bulbs I have, have the frosted bit over the tip, so I thought that stopped glare etc.
You can see in the picture below the bit I mean, as it covers the headlight bulb.

leave it on, its meant to be there afterall the tip of your bulbs have ceramic type stuff on them anyway

it reflects the light back into the reflective rear part of the bulb instead of shining it onto the black area as that would not throw off any light as its not reflective.
was looking at this today as it happens

Ok, cool. Just confused me as the glass isn't clear like on Arteb crystals for example, so could see the need in them.
Will leave them in - did last time, thought I'd ask again before fitting

So people who tint their own headlights by spraying the chrome bit in the headlight black, do they need to get one of them reflective things?? hint hint
