Most of the pictures are rubbish, they are all iso1600 and i was still struggling, built in flash isn't good enough to take full car shots and I couldn't be annoyed trying any harder.

I can now say from experience that the 2 steves opinions on the seats is a lot of tripe.

Only found one angle really it looked rubbish and that was because the doors and everything are so big because of safety regs.

Rest of the car looked very nice.

Had a corsa gsi on cav turbo (i think) rims, nova on softstars and an astra gsi on speedlines for the wee storyboard thing

Everybody there was inpressed and a couple were ordering or had ordered one.

Go karting after was good as well although i am struggling to use my arms now and driving home was fun.

Won a jacket and hat

Anyway, here are my crap pics, enjoy.

Seats were superb as was the entire interior really, and we even got pizza

I still think i'd favour the astra over it, but by all accounts this handles superbly and is meant to be a very fun car

They are the optional 18's, rest of the car was standard trim.

You can have them full leather.

They are better than the seats in a vx220 tbh.

Full leather seats are an optional extra, half leather in the clio is an optional extra, you are getting a fair bit of car for your money really.

Yes that was another thing, a similarly specced clio is quite a bit more expensive, and you buying a clio if you get the clio.

It doesn't take much to have better seats than a VX220 though

We were asking the vxr product manager about its tunability as well, he said you should be able to see 240-250 out the corsa safely and they already have a astra vxr pumping out 355+ on standard gearbox etc, although the gearbox won't last long

From what I gather there is a corsa VXR series in the offing

If full leather is an option, why not on the unveiling car?

A tad silly to me.....im tempted though, will have to drive one and check out the (no doubt) stupid waiting time to get one

As for the seat being 'better' than a VX?....thats like comparing apples to pears.....after all my seats dont recline and dont have to offer access to back seats

They were showing it in standard spec so as to not con people into thinking they would get more.

Can have one by end of april at the earliest, probably about june.

They wanted to show what the car is in standard form, other than the wheels which on the Astra over 75% of buyers have had the wheel upgrade.

240-250 in a corsa?

Might be done, I don't doubt it would cost a fair few quid though.

355+ on an Astra?

Not heard of a VX going over 280 at the mo...and thats with the Astra VXR turbo and injectors.....

The full leather option probably wasn't available. Presumably this is a dealer demo and not an actual Vauxhall demo.

This is the vaux demo thats been going round the country.

The bhp figures came from vxr product manager btw, so unless he's talking shit they are real.

Jules, I know of more than 1 Astra VXR with over 300bhp...

355 from an engine which Vauxhall have been playing with (not worrying about killing it) seems reasonable.

There was a guy who has obv been reading the forums to go and sound intelligent and he kept asking is that figure reliable bhp, the vxr guy said naa.

This guy kidding on he would buy a vxr if he could tune it couldn't even nearly drive a go kart either.
