right, car has failed mot on co2. should be 0.2, but cant get it below 0.59. ive had lambda sensor, plugs and air filter replaced, but still reading the same. the car also has a slight missfire, which could be the cause of the high readings. but what else can i try? cheers, chris.

thing is, all the other emission tests passed no probs? mot guy says cat should be fine, as passes the idle test?

right, just had a thought. when i changed the plugs, i assusmed that they were pre-gapped, however, having been on the ngk website, it appears that they are not. could tghis be responsible for the small miss fire? also, on looking at my old plugs, on three of them there is a fair build up of black cdeposits. i understand that this may mean the mixture is too rich? if this is true, what causes this? cheers, chris.
