Any idea's, have to turn the key once and then start the car.
could it be the pump even tho it is running fine?

think i have the same problem although not sure how to go about curing it yet so will be watching this one.

pump relay. check its clicking, or as a temporary fix, wire a switched live to the red/blue wire from the pump with an inline 20amp fuse.

If the engine runs then it can't be the relay?
As the pump wouldn't work at all if the relay wasn't getting activated.....

yer my relay is brand new as well, any chance that there is more than 1 type of relay Dave?
was thinking FPR but then car would be lumpy on idle

sounds like hassle for some reason. would have to lay down all the wiring along the seals and the rest.

only get fuel out of the fuel in to rail hose when cranking the engine. nothing on ignition live. is this normal or should there be fuel before cranking?

sorted mine,
the clamp on top of the fuel pump was not tight enough as the shaft on the new pump was thinner,
so guessing when i left the car over night, the fuel pressure was pushing the fuel out at the pump.
so got a jubalee, tighen'd the f*cker up and now it startes first time every time
