Whats a power box? Sounds like a £200 ebay supercharger.

Aftermarket inlet manifold made by mantzel. There are also home made replicas knocking around.

Dbilas make one, Velos made one, Lee Mitchell makes his own.

Fair play Does sound a bit of a flebay special when it's called a 'powerbox'!

Aftermarket inlets are always a good mod because the standard one is so restrictive.

What are they std? 110bhp? 125bhp with an air filter and exhaust is a fair gain!

106bhp for X16XE and 109bhp for C16XE.
They are an excellent mod for those engines, they totally transform it and you find yourself bouncing off the limiter because the car pulls so hard through the revs, needs a raised rev limiter to reach its full potential.

Mine was RR'd at 132 with a powerbox, head, courtenay cams, 4-2-1 exhaust and de-cat. I'm hoping that this will be on for 145ish with a re-map which will be getting done soon. The powerbox is by far the best mod i have done.

So, so true! Still keep hitting the limiter now, and it's been on 4months
