Hello All,
I have just brought a 1.6 Corsa Sport, 99 'V. The Car is in Very good condition with a full service history.
However I have one little issue. There is a noise coming from the engine which sounds like a loose belt of some sort. When i turn the AC on, the noise disappears completely. But when i turn the AC off it comes back instantly. It is quite load and annoying. The cam-belt has been changed at 60K, it now has 67K. This leads me to believe it is not the cam-belt.
Any input is much appreciated!!!
Thanks
Adam.

No, the belt is less than £10 and doesn't take long to change.

Hi,
Thank for your input...
It appears so far it could be-
1. the alternator Belt,
2. the A/c clutch
If it is no.2 and I leave the A/C on...will this damage anything, or is the A/c even working if the clutch is faulty!! Also is an A'c clutch repair a big job?
Thanks again
Adam
Plan to fix soon as possilbe but I am really busy at the moment - but if the prob is urgent i will get it done ASAP. If not and it is not doing any harm i can wait.
