Have just brought the final part to my car which is the steering wheel, how hard is it to remove the airbag and fit another wheel? the modifiying max power book makes it out to be soo easy but a lot of people say its a pain in the arse. wat are your opinions?

Make sure you disconnect the battery for at least 30 mins before you remove it!

I got told when you take the wheel off put in a loft or somwhere just incase on the off chance that it does go off it wont injure or damage anything.

i think you can take them in to your local garage and they can deal with them as there supposed to have a special cabinet for storing airbags prior to disposal.
how ever if your feeling a bit brave/silly/curious, you could always find a way to set it off yourself, that way you won't need to worry about storage etc.

What rubbish Why owuld leaving it for 30 minutes make ANY difference from 1 minute? Once the powers gone, its gone...
I've had my airbag on and off my stearing wheel loads of times, with no problems at all. With the battery connected, and dis-connected.
