Think we are switching to BT option 3 when we move.

Has anyone got Internet through BT?

Whats the service like? has anyone got a home hub? whats it like to use ect? Do you have to pay BT line rental on top of the 26.99 a month?

My brother has.

Service is good, home hub is good, but his laptop didn't like it, he had to swap it for another at work.

Yes you have to still pay the basic line rental.

I've had 100% service, and good download speeds of 6mb too.

Although i think they are capping my download speed when i'm using torrents/filesharing applications.

I've had one for a while and its OK, download speeds are around 6 meg so no problems with that. I use the VOIP phone as my main phone now as well which has never skipped a beat. The hub/router itself is OK but not a patch on my USR router that it replaced. I keep having to reset my port forwarding etc and i have the odd DNS problem but IE7 sorts that out for me.

If you aint a geek then its pretty good. Unlimited downloads now as well, when I joined it was a 40gig limit.

We have it back home. It cuts off every now and then for a couple of seconds then reconnects slightly slower then again about an hour later and reconnects at the original speed but it's still 4.5-5.5meg even out here in the countryside (and it's better than the half meg max at our old house).
