having a bit of a problem with the stoppers.sumtimes the car brakes ok and others it hardly brakes at all.ive had a look at the brakes and the fronts are ok.at the bak end the shoes are wearing rather thin.is this the only cause or is it somthing else?

Try changing pads, and discs if they are a bit old. Rear shoes and adjustment. Bleed the system and new fluid. Is it lowered? If it is, have you changed the setting of the bias valve? (If it has one) This caused my brakes to be a bit dodgy.

i believe it to be standard height,gunna get new shoes and the system bled see if that improves things.its onli in the last cuple of days ive noticed it.its a 1993 1.4sri 8v.will it have a bias valve or not?

It's easy to tell. It's on the left side of the drivers side rear spring.

ok thanks ill have to see how it goes shudn't be anything major hopefully,would anything wrong with the master cylinder affect it in this way?

Not really. If the master cylinder goes it will do it all the time.

taken the car 2 a garage and appaerently nothing is wrong with them,just needed adjusting.how ever they are still hard 2 press but get softer an 'normal'under abwt 3000rpm.any ideas?
