What halfords paint should I buy to do wheels in black? What have you used? Pics would be great. Thanks.

Proper Halfords alloy wheel paint.
Ive used it loads of times and always been excellent

Don't be a cheap get it done properly with either 2pac or powdercoating. Alloys done will rattle cans will chip ad flake within days.

iv sprayed mine recntly with cans. didnt use halford stuff though. got it mixes at som car paint shop and worked out near enough half price for what halfords wanted.

I sprayed alloys (AXGT) with rattle cans, sanded, primed, painted and laquered, never flaked at all in 3 years

iv got a feeling mine will falke in a while. (hopefully ill have saved up for some new wheels by then. white comp mo's .)

powdercoating or sprayed and baked on is IMO the only wat to so a good job

Mine were a custom colour mixed from leftovers
I touched them up with marker pen.

If I were to use proper wheel paint stuff it should be alright shouldnt it? Wasnt sure whether I should use a satin or gloss paint though? Rob you can come with me

i sprayed my old wheels white a month ago just for fun
didnt clean, sand, prime, or laquer
and they still havn't flaked
and it was spitting with rain

i bead blasted mine at work and used an enamel paint from b&q the wheels have been fine for about 6 months now

Thats what me and Gaz are currently doing.. although the stay of the shit on the wheels.. it'll take us a good week or two to clean them

this is why the first Rallye fucked up so much just spend a bit and get a proper job done. Also put some nicer wheels or put the stock ones back on.

get them powdered its not too expensive, i cgot mine done at work and the results where imence but be carefull with the wheel brace while you fit them because they scratch easy and it shows all the more on black wheels

mine were done with rattle cans, 2 are still good, 2 are chips
its down to the sprayer realy ( the ones i sprayed have chipped )
