Since it switched from telewest i think it's gone crap. No more Skysports news, no more sky one. Telewest replay doesn't seem to have as much of a selection that it once did. Their customer service seems pretty pants. We've been with them for two years but since the switch i can't help thinking i may get a better deal with sky. Me and the missus pay £37 a month for the digital TV free weekend calls and 4meg broadband. We don't have sky sports or movies. Anyone with sky get a better deal than that for that kind of price. Any replies appreciated

I can't get cable round here for some reason, so I have got Sky.

I pay £47/month:

£37 = all entertainment and movies packages, no sports

£10 = 16Mb broadband

Im with them, Im £43.50 a month & have starter TV (Shite, never watch it tbh), Talk anywhere 200 phone & 2Meg BB.

Id get rid of the lot but I like the phone & internet service, dont want to have to change my number or email addy so just go along with it. The TV only costs £5.50 a month I think

Koling...the internet is well worth keeping...

Point for everyone...those who are on 10MB will be getting a free upgrade to 20MB on 1st May...

SO get it upgraded before then to receive the upgrade...10MB is £35 per month...but imagine from the 1st your getting 20MB for £35

you can still keep the medium TV, it's free with phone and internet

One of the best things I've done switching from Virgin TV to SKy...

If I switch my deal with virgin media to 2 for £20 bundle, cancel the TV & get Sky 4 mix bundle + movies that will cost £36.

So £56 all in, where I was £43.50 before anyway so £12.50 increase.......not bad, I might go with that!!

yeah good deal and get the Sky+ box...you can get a refurb one (like new+warranty) for 49.99. and no subscription with the premium package...

You don't need to cancel your TV with virgin, just downgrade it to medium with phone and internet...It's free.

PS tell sky I recommended you, we will both get £30 vouchers from M&S

I rang Virgin to complain about a month ago about losing sky and the broadband being a bit slow.

I now pay £45 a month and get:

complete tv package (every channel posible)
all landline phonecalls completely free anytime
8mb broadband
V+ box and HD package (similar to sky+ HD)

While on the subject does anyone have them for their ADSL broadband?

19.99 a month for upto 8 meg unlimited + unlimited free phonecalls isn't a bad deal.

It would have to be reliable though.

I'm with Virgin..I phoned and complained when they took away sky sports news and they lowered my bill put me from medium tv package to large package and gave me all the movie channels for free for ever.

so i was paying £63 a month this was for
2meg BB
Med tv package
sky sports package

Now I pay £56 per month for
2 meg BB
Large Tv package
sky sports package
and movie package...

worth phoning and complaining and they will give you extra channels for free... i know a few who have done it now.
