Natwest are by far the best bank. UK call centres, can ring your local bank if you have any problems. Great service all round. I've had the pleasure of HSBC and they are an absolute joke from start to finish.

Never ever had on problem withNatwest whatsoever in all the time I've banked with them over the last 6 years.

I like Natwest.

I don't understand how people have so many bank charges, I've only had like £60 worth?

I have a very old account with Yorkshire bank, which means that in credit checks etc I get to say I've been with my bank for 10+ yeqars rather than 1 or 2

Always hear nightmare stories about Halifax so don't really fancy them

Natwest is towards the top of the list, seem to have a good attitude towards customers

I've been with RBS for about 10 years I think....never had any problems with them...
Internet banking is good, telephone banking, and direct lines to all their branches.

I hate the fact that with HBOS you can't actually phone your branch. Shit

Switched from First Direct which was top notch service etc until they brought in a silly monthly charge thing and changed to Lloyds. No monthly charge but the service is absolutely dire.

Has anyone actually had to close their accounts after claiming back bank charges? I don't want to.

Im with Lloyds and have been for about 11years, not had any major issues in that time tbh. What constitutes a bad service?

I closed down my HSBC account on Friday.

Agree with Colin, Halifax are very good and the online service is brilliant.
