42 in a 30
It was deserved so Im not going to moan about it.
Just wondering what sort of difference 3 points on a license make as far as insurance goes ?
Cheers

My brother has 3 pts, and it doesn't affect his insurance at all, i think when you have more serious offences then it will, an SP30 is cosidered minor.

Because getting one SP30 is so 'common' these days and doesn't necessarily mean you are a liability to insurers, some insurers won't add anything.
If you have a crash, I should think they might come down on harder on you with regard to next years premium.

I have an SP30, and it doesnt affect me.
When i first got it i rang the insurance up and they just giggled. no cost = no hassle

maybe not liability to insurers but prehaps when the time comes to get a better car thats alot more expensive as well as quicker. For example my mate wanted to go from a 1.4 saxo to an ibiza cupra 1.8 20v turbo. Insuers wouldnt touch him on his own, or ot was ridiculous prices. He also had these speeding points

Thats ok though isn't it? 10% + 3mph so 10% of 40mph = 4mph +3mph = 47mph! You should get away with it! In theory anyway.

I got caught doing 54 in a 30 the other day. £60 and 3 points. A few things didnt add up though i think they targeted mt car cos of mods. There was a car a few car lengths in front of me doing the same speed but they took no notice, and they were hiding behing a hedge which they arent allowed to do, but no point argueing it. They jumped outa the hedge when i was bout 50 metres away, and the gun read they got me from 171m. Then as soon as they got me they packed up shop, hate that

I doubt it was because of the mods, more likely to be the fact your doing almost double the speed limit. bit silly doing that speed in a 30 though? id have thought it was worth more than a standard sp30.

The road is a straight road and it was late at nite, id say most people would sit over the limit. I said i think it was the mods cos as i was flying down the road i hit a dip in the road which made the arches rub quite bad, so i thought they may have heard me cumin
