Right, I'm a novice when it comes to engines etc.
I have a pre- ecotec 1.4i 8v 96 Reg.
I'm in dire need of a new ICV.
anyone take a shot in the dark and tell me if this could fit? 
This valve replaces the Vauxhall part numbers:
08187
171081876
17111946
17113196
817256
826548
826550
and is fitted to:
CORSA B (73_, 78_, 79_, F35_) though I have no Idea what this means?

Its the same type of valve yeah.
Check yours first tho, as some versions had a different shaped tip on the motor spindle.
Make sure yours has the same shaped end on.
If so, it should be fine.

You see about level with the GM letters on the airbox/\
Go down from there and you can just see the black edge of the idle motor/valve.
Near the throttle rod.
