Hey all, im wanting to upgrade to a x16xe but cant find any decent corsa sport engines. Im wondering if the vectra and astra x16xe's are the same as the corsa sport engines apart from the inlet? as ill be replacing the inlet with a dbilas anyway. So would i get the same performance or is there other things that are different between them?

x16xe engines should be indentical regardless of the car that you take it out of. Should they not?

IIRC, the Astra ones are X16XEL - just because the inlet is different.

The head is also different. IIRC, they use a X14 head. When I got my head done, that was done from an X16XEL motor. The ports which had been enlarged were the same size as my standard ports. I sent it back.
