Had rear brace fitted to my car but at one side its come loose tryied to tighten it but the thread on the shock itself keeps spining. How can i stop it from spining or is the shock f*cked?

get your hand under the wheel arch and get a firm grip on the shock, then try and tighten it up

So if i hold the whole shock it wont spin? it must do as the thread was spining from inside the car while the car was on the ground

I use the same technique when tightening shock bolts. So it does work

Ye they are the bolts i need to tighten to fix the brace down, so like you said just put my hand under the wheel arch hold the whole shock then tighten?

Yeh i have the same problem, get a jack under the axle and lift up the back end

Is it safe to do at in the middle of the rear axle? or the side?, as ive got after market side skirts too so cant use it there from the side of the car like you normally would

i always use a jack on the middle of the axle

Thats what my m8 used of them first time am sure and one side has just come completely loose
