I have currently got a garage to put my z20let engine in my corsa c, but there is a problem with the hubs. I need to keep my hubs so the suspension and 4 pot brakes will fit but the astra driveshafts i got do not fit in these hubs, obviously.

Is there any way of doing this without chopping driveshafts down and gettin them machined.

Was talking to someone and they said that Beardy off here sorted his out for him.

He got astra 26 spline hubs machined into corsa outers. Is that the best way to do it.

Advice, help please!

There aren't really alot of Corsa C's on here mate and I cant think of any with Z20LET conversions. If this thread gets overlooked it might be worth dropping Beardy a u2u

yeh that tom is who i been talking to on cruise4fun, he explained that beardy did his hubs for him as he is a corsa expert apparently. Ill drop him a u2u

you getting mixed up with that things are called

There is a Knuckle and a Hub.

Knuckle is what your suspension brakes all bolt to.
Then you have a wheel baring which is pressed into the knuckle
Then you have a Hub which is pressed into baring.

SO

You want a Astra GTE Hub machined to take a Corsa C Baring.

so then you can press the hub into the knuckle, meaning all corsa c mounting points off the knuckle and a hub which can take you big block shafts.

I can do this for you if needed BUT if you want to get it done more local take both the Corsa C hub and the Astra GTE hub to a good machine shop and ask them to turn down the astra one to match the corsa one.

Any problems i am sure Tom (70mm) has given you my number give me a call

Infact just read your going Z20LET
So you need the Hubs which match the shafts.

The Astra GTE are for C20LET i am unsure the number of splines on the Z20LET Shafts (could be the same but make sure).

i have asked chris astley motorsport to get me astra 26 spline hubs machined into corsa outers and i have sent my corsa hubs away. Is that what you did for tom. he said it would take 6 weeks for you to do them and i need them asap

Normally a week to do them, you get them builtup ready just to fit. If you were desperate then I could probably do them within a couple of days.

Not sure where tom got six weeks from, I could of had your engine in and running in 2.

hmmmm ok mate, but this chris astlet motorsport is doin them, what did you do for tom, was it astra 26 spline hubs machined into corsa outers? Coz thats what i have asked them to do . might b able to get my hubs back and give them to you if u can get them done in 2 days or so, cheers, kris
