not a direct question but more of a post to see who would do what....

What car would you start with? what would you do with your money....

You cant go over 1500 and car/parts have to be bought...

So... say car for 500, 1k to spend on preping.

Road legality/insurance are not in the equation

Can get an old 106 xsi or rallye/ax gt/205 for that, the 1k would cover a GTI/VTS engine and the other necesaries

i think the 309 woukld be a bit more than that wouldnt it... ? Never really looked into them... i'm cranking up AT just now but the connection is damn shite

I know theres only 2, I have a 106 Was having a browse earlier and they are still fucking expensive though. Found Koni adjustables for £270 though which il prob be going with myself. My cat cam is £200 new, cant be that cheap?

they pop up cheap on ebay now and then, not as desirable as the 205, so they go for less

yes... so leave the dampning on the rears as standard car would handle better as standard i think

i'd buy from the cheapest/most solid option.... not saying it wouldnt be AT.....
