what ports does everybody use for downloads?
im getting terrible speeds think i need to change mine just wondered what everyone uses and what speeds do they get?

Surely a port is just a port 
Assuming you're not trying to use ones that have already been allocated, i.e. 80, 120, etc.

anything above 50,000 but < 64,000 is usually good
loaf, its because ISP throttle bandwidth to a lot of ports so try and choose one thats not afffected

Most isp's now filter based on type of traffic and not port.
Some even filter encrypted bittorrent.

no best bet is to turn encryption on and if that dont work your stuffed

i wonder if anyone has challenged there isp about limiting there torrent bandwidth, you pay for a set bandwidth, that shouldbt be limited
