I would be weary buying something like that from a un-known online place though. Im sure its going to be fine but the warrenty might be iffy in a few years line if they dissaper?

the one at the top is the newer model, and i *think* has 2 HDMI connections, whereas the 2nd link only has 1.

Yes they have VGA inputs, and also a 'line in' which you run from the headphone or line out jack on your pc. They also support 1:1 pixel mapping via VGA
