apart from the Extra Cam and 8v valves and around 10bhp Not much, Mine didnt even come with PAS or E/W so i fitted PAS myself.

16v: Newer, Quicker, Seems more prones to faults though

8v: slightly slower, but seemingly bulletproof

Prefer SRi's Over Sports as they seem more

yer i like the red writing and are much rarer. well 16v 1s are. thanks mate. is it same engine as sport?

Not many 16v Sri's about.

I thought they produced them for 1 year [ 1995 ] then in 1996 they added more features and called it "Sport"

iirc 1994 sri 1.4 8v mpi , 1995 sri 1.4 16v mpi 1996 sport 1.4 16v mpi

95 + 96 1.4 are x14xe

the 16v sri is the same engine as the 1.4 16v sport

the 1.4 8v sri engine is different from the 1.4 16v engine

i get you now, so if i was to buy a 1.4 sri 16v i could use my spare x14xe for parts if they were ever needed?

Yer I have just heard this, someone said to me at the weekend this sport model goes well and I said its not a sport but he corrected me haha

but ben was talking about the difference between the 16 v and 8v sris, not the sport, then i asked if it was the same engine in the 16v sri as in a sport and was told yes, then you made the comment that a sport is faster. So why not READ the thread before you make remarks like the above 1 and make yourself look stupid

16v sport/sri same thing under the bonnet.

i simply posted saying the sport/16v valve engine is better than the 8v.

either way they are both shit compared to 1.6 16v

i was payin 1500 tpft on a 1.0 12v, its gay, sometimes i think it would be cheper to get caught without and get a fine but then i think no thats for badgers
