i know with a solid colour you t-cut it to remove orange peel then polish it and thats it

with a metallic do i t-cut it? before the laquer? or do i just leave it, and laquer it then thats it, done

so i prime, paint, laquer, then cut it so its smooth and shineey then polish?

boot lock

so far smoothed it, plastic primer, high build, gonna lave it to set, then smooth it, normal primer, smooth it, then paint-laquer, cut it and polish it up, then fit the badge

Leave the laquer to dry for a few days before cutting it.

I usually use 1200/1500 wet and dry, wet.
Then cutting compound.
Then polish.

Should come up like glass.

Thats never failed me.
Just watch the edges(paint is naturally thinner on edges, so its easy burn through with wet/dry.)

i should have taken some pictures of each step today whilst i was doing it, i'll do it tomorow when i do more work on the car to show you the steps
