Ive been noticing for no particular reason the alternator light keeps coming on intermittently on the corsa at the moment...

I tried a new earth lead that goes from the tensioning bolt to the bracket on the block but has come on once more already since then - although appears to be better...

Could this be a sign of the alternator being on it's last legs or would this be another earth / wiring fault?

Forgot to add - just had the mutimeter out - when the light is off it is charging fine - but have been unable to run a test when the warning light is on - i could drive about with the mutimeter for a few days....
