I had a thought, and want to do this.
anyone got pics of how its made up? isnt there like a wooden frame thing, then MDF boards covered in cloths to sit over the frame?
what sort of options in the way of speakers and amp being incorperated into it?
if i do this i wont keep the standard seats, i'll get buckts and a harness or something.
jsut a thought

im sure there used be someone who did them on here, fully carpeted for £60 ish??
fink she was called kt-sri (sp)
I was looking at doing this a while ago, if it just for the boot, then what I got told was remove your boot carpet and use that as a guideline for the shape, then ya need 2 pieces on that size, and some little stands in between for fings such as a sunk in amp, etc

Mine...
Put loads of specialist sound deadening all over the metal. Covered over with sound deadening foam. Used the excuess foam to even out the gaps so it was a flat surfice...
Level 1 (those bolts hold up my exhaust system )
Level 2
The long "dip" between the back seats and the boot was filled up with more foam layers till it matched the rest of the boot.
Then, a carboard template was made up.
Then wood was cut to, and then adjusted. Then carpetted and layed in.
Mine was cut down the middle, would put it in the car like / \ and push down and it would fit perfectly. Great bed type thing too, well comfy

With mine, I had a huuuuge box. I bolted it through the bottom of the box, through the false floor. Then i'd re-connect the subs and put them back in the box. Would have taken a long time to get it out. But not only that, it would stop all the equipment moving when braking or accelerating hard. (if you stop quick, i dind't want 170kg of ICE coming through my head )
BUT
I had a garage. If you want audio on show on a false floor, but haven't got a garage, don't bother... Its just asking for someone to knick it.
Donnas old Corsa B got broken into. We think the people thought it was my car as they went into the boot through the back seats, even though there was nothing in there. (similar styling to my car). That was the 1st night she came over my place when we got back together........
Garage = Go for it.
No garage = Don't even bother.

Box was 1 box, but in 2 sections. Each section had 2-3 bolts through the bottom. And a saftey strap attached at the back to the back of the car.

depends how much of a false floor you want, i just cut an mdf base to shape of boot capret, then raised it nough for amps and buiilt another mdf sheet above them leaving enough ventilation to keep cool

Would companies build it for you? I just want a false floor with access to my spare and maybe an amp and sub in one side.

Fairly easy to do mate, get some MDF sheet and take your boot carpet as a template, trace around it and jigsaw it out
Test fit it (without plastics) and sand down / remove any parts which catch and then carpet it with spray mount and some acoustic carpet from halfords .etc
Job Done

mine doesnt at all, its forced sidewards by the sub and forced back by the bulge where the rear belts mount, it doesn't move at all
only time it rattles is when I go over a bump cos it lifts up slightly, I never got round to screwing it into the second false floor in the boot area.

I managed to get mine in my old Corsa in one piece. As a few people have done - Use the boot mat as a template! Not the best pic!
