We have now developed a few different kits, mainly for the corsa B but are now designing a coilover kit for the corsa C as well.
If you were spending either £250-275 on a fixed rate kit or £500 on a coilover kit for either car, what would you like to see for your money?
Dave.

If I was still in the Corsa market. I'd want a nice quality fixed rate kit, 60mm that actually handled nicely and was'nt harsh as fook.

not stupidly low so it fucks other parts of the setup.
Decent springs/corrosion protection
Decent shocks that dont leak/squeak like certain cheaper brands.

being just as good as FK is a bit of a silly way to go as FK are shite. plus those TA Technics stuff is just the same as the Jamex, PI, Gmax stuff just rebranded. seen it, hate it.

ive got spax dampers on my gsi and standard springs (were on the car when i bought it) it handles like a bag of s**t and is really bouncy.
any idea why sum 1 would put spax dampers with standard springs?
my ideal kit that i would use is a fixed kit that is pretty stiff and any lowering amount that wont scrub (ive got 15' alloys 195.50 offset 35)
any ideas dave?

So are you actually designing these kits yourself? And building and producing them yourself? Or are you buying bits and putting them together?

Uprated shocks that aren't harsh on Britains roads.
Needed for Novas.

£250 is lower end price for a decent fixed suspension unit. So for £250, i'd expect an uprated stronger shox (capable of withstanding a 2.0/turbo/v6 conversion) and -35mm springs all round. Also it would be nice to have an "option" of uprated poundage springs should you be doing a conversion (maybe for an extra £10-£20???)
As for the coilovers, £500 is very budget, so i wouldn't be expecting much. But i would expect it not to rust and corrode like many of the coilover kits do. I'd personnally want height and damper adjustable, but for £500, thats pushing it.
Also, having available options to upgrade other suspension unit parts if bought as a package may be an idea (i.e bushes etc..)

some good ideas coming in
reason for the post is that we have got together with a well known manufacturer to make the kits but as with the Gaz kit we designed for the corsa B we are designing the kits from scratch to give the buyers what they want as a lot of the off the shelf stuff doesnt meet the requirements.
so far we have done:
coilover kit for the corsa B (option of rear coilovers)
coilover kit for the corsa C (option of rear coilovers may be available
fixed rate kit for both corsa B and C that lowers 50mm

I thought teh Corsa B was at its best handling at -30 to -40mm and lowering it more upsets the balance (not personnally pushed a Corsa B hard enough to notice the difference on track yet).
Or are you just aiming at a particular market who just want a cheap, decked out suspension upgrade?
