i filled ma car up with 11 quid of petrol a little while ago, driving around today and suddenly the light comes on flashing, no constant before, just straight into flashing, and ive only done about 65 miles, should usually get bout 90ish miles out of it, just a one of or something wrong, any comments welcomed

nah has caried on all the way home, about 5 miles... should i be worried?! oh and the needle doesnt look like it has reached the low end fully, i.e not in the red lines, i drive a corsa C... is a bit weird...

That works out to be about 31/32mpg.

Rising price of petrol could have caused some of it Your right foot probably made up the difference.

I've got a Corsa C and the petrol gauge is a little dodgy. Seems to stick and then drop very quickly.
I managed 460 miles to a tank going to and from PVS this year Mine is a 1.4 but a few lads i know off Corsa C and convoyed down with had to fill up They are all on 1.2s though.

I thrash my car alot and usually get around 90 miles outta £10 before it goes too far into the red.

£11 for 65 miles is ~26mpg. You must have been red lining it everywhere to get it that low. What size is your engine?
