Does anybody know the difference between a 5 door hatch and a 4 door saloon?

There is very few 5 door hatches that look good imo, but are hundreds of 4 door saloons.

Does no-one know the difference between a hatchback and saloon? Personally I can't think of any Cars that look better or as good in 5 door guise.

Yes technically the A4 isnt a 5 door...but lets not be pedantic...I should have rephrased the question to 4 passenger doors as we wouldnt be here very long and would have fuck all to banter about if it was strictly 5 door cars....

If you mean cars with 4 doors then there is shit loads. 5 door hatches, theres not many.

Im going to be controversial here...but IMHO...apart from the VXR range (for obvious reasons although thats a completely different car)...the 5 door Astras SRIs with exterior pack look better than the 3 door versions...its something about the back end of the 3 door Ex-Pack cars I dont like...also the overall shape of the 5 door flows better...

No need to be contraversial thats what you think. Personally the Sport Hatches to me look great, the 5 doors just can't match them. The 5 door is a nice effort but if I was getting a new Astra it would have to be a Sport Hatch, none of the 5 doors would get a look in for me.
