found a silver 172, 33k on the clock with 17" wheels and powerflow full exhaust system looks immaculate for £5650.

Does that sound good?

With a full Powerflow exhaust also, you just get the impression he isn't a dick head boy racer adding Halfords bits to his 172.

Sounds like a good deal.

I test drove the 180 just before I bought my Cup, seats were good, but handling and performance were nothing compared to the Cup.

That sound too cheap for a 180. Cat D?

i found this other clio 172 which is £5300 29k on clock standard all over except i think he has exhaust system or back box. cant tell from pics but i am finding out.

so its that one above or the other clio 172 wich is 33k on clock £5700 but with alloys and powerflow exhaust system.

The 206 gti is 04 reg and completly standard 40k on clock £5300 but i think the insurance is bit cheaper with this and it does 32 miles per gallon compared to 172 which is 34 miles per gallon

The reason they put after market exhausts on alot of them is due to the cost of the standard one. My dad has a 172 20k exhaust was fucked. cheaper to get a full s/s system than it is a back box off renault.

Tbh mate 32mpg and 34mpg your not going notice the difference in that. My dad gets 30mpg steady and some beans.

Both cars are expensive for parts but renault are abit more.

check cam belt, breaks and if the rear calipers have had any work cus they constantly stick and its an mot failer mate.

Also dampners have been known to leek.

also check all the fancy digital climate control and the xons cus you dont wanna know how much they are to fix!

Other than that engines are strong and love to be ramped.
