selling my nova to buy another one woooo!

Is a mk1 GTE (1989). Pretty much mint shell apart from scratches here and there with a bit of flaking on the rear right arch - NO RUST ON PANELS. chassis is going though so selling cheap for anyone wanting to break it. Could drive it as it has a year tax and mot but up to you.
Resprayed in 2 tone purple. Think it's a rover colour.

EDIT - have just bought a years tax and is mot'd till jan/feb next year im sure.

Just finished my engine conversion - has a 2 litre 8v out of a cav/astra with about 50k on the engine ( EDIT - used to have another but needed replacing). I also painted up the engine bay while i was at it in black.

Spec.
2 litre 8v engine
Custom 2.25" exhaust - (back box may need replacing if i dont get round to re-welding it)
K&N Air Filter
1991-1992 Astra GTE double Header spark plugs - think i could be swapping them though
New oil Pump
Lowered 60mm on proffesionnally cut astra gte springs and new GTE shocks
Astra GTE fuel Pump
Astra GTE Brakes
Most Rubber hoses were new half a year ago, one or two new ones.
New headunit. (JVC with remote, CD/MP3/USB) - also have a cable situated in glove compartment for multi cd changer - linked to amp.
SWM Steering wheel
Irmscher front grill - rare, would be worth around 150 quid +
Full immobiliser/alarm (Meta Systems)
Original GTE interior
Oil cooler from XE
MDF Parcel shelf with 6x9's, 8" Sub and Amp (it still sounds good)
TSW Alloys - 15"
Painted Rear Brake hubs
Front Upper Strut brace
Clear Rear Lights - Road Legal
Mk2 Bumpers
2 new rear Yokohama Tyres - khumo fronts
Digital Mk2 Astra Dash
Rear hidden 6x9's with sub in the boot (8" - i may keep the sub though)

No rust in the arches like usual. Only point is there's some paint flaking off on the rear right arch, think its only the top coat. No rust at all though.

Bad points - as the car is low the bumper has scraped the floor sometime in its life and there is some paint coming off.
Some scratches in paint - to be expected really.
The suspension is pretty stiff! Not the best car for bumpy roads, new springs should sort it out if you dont like it.
The engine is a bit dirty as i dont have the time to clean it up while putting it in. It runs perfeck though (tested it in donor car)
The digital dash (like many others) likes to dim itself occasionally. this is sorted by wiggling the dimmer). Something to do about a design fault and the dimming wires. ( EDIT - think ive fixed this now hasnt dimmed in weeks)
At the moment i have an oil leak from the sandwich plate by the oil filter. Can easily be fixewd with some silicone (take it off and use silicone as a gasket)
Also Some problems with loss of water. - EDIT - NOT ANY MORE!!!!!!




The car pulls really really well and it's like a go kart to drive, sticks like glue to the road. Sounds grunty as hell too, like there's something good actually under the bonnet haha.
No smoke on start up etc, no tapping or pinking.
Can embarress many modern fast hot hatches beleive me Mark 5 Golf gti's, Bmw 1 Series etc... Im not going to say porsches and that because its not a red top im afraid. Haha

There's been a lot of work done to the car by me and the previous owner and it's in good shape for an 18 year old car. I just feel like moving on to a mk2

The chassis is going so im selling the car mega cheap. if you break it you coud make a grand but after spending months on it i just cant be arsed lol.

ive sorted out the water loss and other problems. hence the 1700 price as it was a snapped jubilee clip letting water out - not the head gasket!

isnt worth much more with the chassis going.
