a split inner cv boot?
Its been split since before PVS and i have done approx 500miles + with it split and has chucked some grease out.
Had a word with my mates dad whos a mechanic and he says what ever shit/water that is in there now will have done the minor damage.
Reason i ask is i have one ready to fit tommorrow at my mates but i wana drive my car tonight to blackburn which is approx a 160 mile round trip. Would it be ok to drive would you say?

Will last that but id chuck some grease in it if you can to try and minimalise the damage to the cv joint.

I wouldn't, considering a boot is cheap but if the joint is fucked thats £80+

I wouldn't risk it. I had a wheel bearing out a while ago and though "i'll change it later"
POP! Goes the bearing melting itself to the stub axle. £90 instead of the £10 that the bearing would have cost me lol
