:hi:
Thought id start a WIP now as in the next upcoming months depending on funds i shall be supercharging my little corsa.
Currently engine is in a standard state bah a K&N Panel Filter and a Remus Straight-threw centre section. At the end of this month just before FastFest i shall be installing my Induction kit again (RaidHP Carbon Max), then fitting my 4-2-1 Decat manifold with a 100 cell sports cat in the place of centre section.
Some point in the future i will get a 6x4 oval backbox but at the moment i shall be keeping my Irmscher twin Oval on
The line im taking with the Supercharge is, well has changed i was going to Intercool the charger but however this has now changed so up front rather then having a Intercooler il be having another radiator mounted at front of the car, methode of cooling i will be using is a charge cooler, which is cooled by water as apposed to Air with a Intercooler.
Supercharger being used in this project is a Eaton M45, these are on the new Mini Coopers! Image: http://www.alfa145.com/upload/Eaton%20M45_1.jpg (NOT ACTUALLY MINE)
As some of you may know a supercharge would need to be connected to the top inlet, however on my project the charger will actually be down the back of the bulkhead under the inlet manifold as its best to get the weight closer to the road, when undertaking the process i will be needing to relocate the alternator to the front of the engine!
I will be running 2 ECU's with this aswell, the new one will run-inline with the cars orignial ECU but the newone will have all the cars enginemanagement system on it,.
As i said this is a WIP so pics to come.
Heres a pic of what my car looked like:
Anyways keep checking back as i will update this where possible

So i got the 4-2-1 Manifold out and attempted to fit it, but ran into a few problems, first off pics of manifold its self
As you can see, 4-2-1 Branch good welds should be shinny silver but couldnt be arsed to polish it.
Well started fitting it to the car few problems arrised as il explain but let the pictures tell the story from here on.
So... Manifold off the car and downpipe off, picture doesnt show but also bolts out of the head aswell.. now is where problems started to occur!!
From those pictures, if you cant see basically the problem is the sump, the manifold wont fit flush to the head of the car because of 1 of the pipes is hitting the sump.
The manifold has been on a Z18XE engine before but it was in a Astra, the Head & Block are exactly the same, and the Sump looks identical however going to change the sump sometime to a Astra sump IF its different and then try again!

im guessin the engine in ur corsa is the x18xe1 because of the oil filter housing instead of a screw on filter, not a z18xe. its possible the manifolds are different because of the size difference of the filter housing.

Hmmm not thought of that, from when i was trial fitting it, the sump is the only thing in the way. going to change it to a astra sump which is deff a Z18XE and see if it fits.
Good suggestion though about the engine, im not 100% sure now hmmmm

check to see if you have a cable going to the throttle body, if it has, ur engine is an x18xe1. if there is no cable, its a z18xe. hope it helped!
