im looking to get a decat for a 1.4 16v sport but was just wondering about the sound because i have read that the cars becomes stupidly loud??

Also i want to know the gains that i can get from the decat, i have an inlet and bmc cda atm??

and if the sound is too loud and stupid does anyone know anywhere that sells a decat pipe with a silencer??

where is the best place to buy them also??

its getting rid of the middle box thats the problem

i dont have a middle box either, my dad always moans at me for mine being too loud, it isnt of course lol

im having my de-cat fitted 2moro with sebring. i imagine that will be quite loud. mind u, my powertech is very loud now so think it will be a nice balence

It made mine slightly louder when giving it some throttle, but when crusing no difference at all!

My friend drives an older Honda civic that had a decat fitted. It made it a tiny tiny (and i mean tiny) bit louder under throttle and changed the note very slightly too (for the better). But to be honest, if you hadnt of heard it before and after you wouldnt have been able to tell the difference at all.

I dont see why a corsa should fair any different really.

For those that heard my mine, it was the cat being removed and a stupidly small back box that made it loud.

With cat and a decent size backbox but no middle box it just purred like a kitten.

If your bothered abotu noise, get a de-cat with a silencer in. i.e. Janspeed.
