that makes what i would be paying sound good, someone on here just got a new fiesta zetec s and it looks really nice so priced one up and came out at 233 or there abouts over 3 years and the insurance was another 100 odd on a 1.6 so would be 300 odd..

it's probably my zetec s. the white one

paying £209 over 3 years, 1400 interest over the 3 years.

about £210 a month insurance

only got such a good deal on the car because i work for ford's, got a couple grand discount

yeah thatll be it lol!! im in a similiar position with fiat/alfa, i can get about 12% off a new grande, only trouble is reliability with fiats and alfa

i'm earning about 1500 a month after taxes with nothing else to pay for? all i pay for is my car so i have 1100 to spare

the insurance will go down, i just have a claim that's pending so will get refunded when its all settled

stil thats extorsionate, brand new car or not at 19 with no claims i was only 1k on my corsa 1.4 8v

Paid £550 insurance last year on a 1.4 Corsa C. Fully comp with 5 or 6 yrs ncb. Can't really remember now

Dodgy postcode though

Paid for the car out-right.

yeah it does seem alot but i will pay it as i wanted the car, had problems every 2 weeks for a year with the corsa which ended up written off, not my fault.

new car, 66k (3 years) warranty so no problems

bit of advice: if you want a new zetec s in your specification, be prepared to wait 18 weeks for it as theres a huge delay, i only got mine through a cancelled order

1500 insurance, and 3300 for the car but needed a 7 grand loan to pay other bits and bobs. pay around 350 a month

18 weeks how come theres such a delay? whats the difference between the technology pack and visibility pack?

Its a fair point on cheap cars but what do you do if you want a car thats 20k? Would take a good few years to get that sort of cash put aside unless you have a really really well paid job.

As long as you can afford the repayments then I dont see the problem.

BTW have you looked at other cars before deciding on the Fiesta ST? I think you could get a better car

Only get what u can afford on finance! Sounds silly, but loads of people stretch themselfs too much!
