im not to keen on the gear changes on my gsi, so am thinkin of gettin a quick shift.
do these fit inside the car under the gear stick?

any 1 used 1 on a gsi?

they fit on the gearlinkage near the gearbox, you have to go under the car to change it well worth it tho i thought

yep i got one off the same guy easy enough to fit just need some circlip pliers and a few sockets to get it off. i found taking the rear engine mount off made it easy to do rather than fannying about trying to get the pin out. made lots of difference i thought

sounds good then, think i mite get 1. if i get the one on ebay what other parts will i need to get to fit it?

dont need any other parts other than the linkage. just a bit of fannying around under the car to fit it

alrite rick, yea ive got an m tech short shifter, and is makes the car so much better to drive, shortens the throw by a long way and stiffens the hole thing up so it doesnt feel all wobbly and poo. i did buy nylon bushes with mine which were an extra 10er but worth it.

i got some bloke at a garage to fit it though, took them ages fiddling about under there.
