heard this guy talking to his mate in the line for the burger van. he was pointing at his gti which was very nice bright yellow blackwheels etc. said it was standard no engine mods and goes over 140mph and beets scoobys and evo's round the dollar bends . are all the 106drivers the same? i might look into buying one and see what all the hype is about.

GTI owners are nob heads, take Paul J for example Rallye will always out handle a GTI.

I was in one last night for the first time. Completley standard and is very impressive in acceleration. Got up to 130 on the motorway in no time too...

I've had 137mph on the clock of my gti (i know i wasnt actually going that fast) and a mates saxo vts once went to 142 on the clock!
Book top speed is 127

true but compared to my 1.4 sri corsa, its fast as fuck.

tbh my corsa isnt fast but it can handle better than a scooby, was following one into some s bends near work and he booted it on the straight and went wide in the corner by the time he left the s and i was right behind him again but he left me on the straight lol
