Looking at buying a 206 GTi when I get the money for my old car.

Will cost me about £3000, and comes with extras such as:
Leather/suede interior
Digital climate control
2.0l 16v 138BHp engine
Big alloys

Buying one in the Firedance orange colour

So what are peoples opinions on them, and are there better cars out there (taking into consideration looks, power and spec) for the same money

Cheers

Not bad for the price, as long as you get one with working air con. My mum has an X reg and ive used it a few times to get around. Its nice and comfy inside, quite nippy but not blisteringly fast. Depends what your after but personally id have a 306 GTI6 OR Rallye over one.

I think the 206 would be a good choice then, GTI6's have most of the same features though but youll rarely find one with working air con. The ride on the 206 is also a bit harsh.

GTI6...

167bhp as standard and they sound really nice. Come with all the extras of the 206 GTI aswell.

IIRC, it was made for the homologation rules in the WRC - the rally cars 4WD system needed a longer chassis so as the rules stipulate there must be a certain number of road going cars with the same dimensions they made those.
