anyone know the best way to clean up a gearbox? i dont have a steam cleaner that thats not an option. just wondering what products and tools to use. and what to paint it with after. ive been scrubbing away with a wire wool and soap but its not getting as clean as ide hoped.

Gunk cleaner.
Brush
Wash off.
