Whats the best way for me a leave a job ive not long been in??
I started on 30th July.
Hav'nt as yet signed a contract.
1st pay is due on 30th August.
New job is due to start on 3rd September.
I dont need a reference from current employer.
Should I:
Give them 1 weeks notice & tell them ive found another job??
or
Wait until 31st & tell them I wont be back after the weekend.
or
Tell them I wont be back on Thursday 30th (after ive been paid) that I wont be coming back.
Remember ive not signed a contract, & dont really feel like I owe them any favours as they messed about starting me by a few weeks.

cant they just let you go within 24 hours notice in the 1st month of employment?
thats what my job had, surely the same vise versa?

Also because ive not signed a contract, if I tell them im leaving before the 30th, can they refuse to pay me or anything???

No thats the one I start in 2 weeks. This is a Permanant position in the council - temp for me though

Ive been told, HR's sending it to your house!! That was 3 weeks ago
If I work the 31st theres a chance I might not get paid for it!!

get paid, take all the holidays you entitled to and never go back. if you have signed no contract your doing nothing wrong.

I got two days for every month worked in my first year the 26 days after being here a year. maybe different though
